For adequate preparation on this route, it is important to wear sun protection, which includes long sleeves, pants and a cap or hat to protect you from the sun. Also make sure you have boots with good grip to ensure a safe ride on challenging terrain and walking sticks that will provide you with additional support and help you maintain your balance on difficult terrain.

How to get there?

Location:

This route is located outside the metropolitan area, in the semi-desert of Mina, approximately two hours from the city. To get there, it is recommended to take the road to Laredo (85) and then the road to Monclova (53). Approximately 18 km after the municipal seat of Mina, we will arrive at an entrance where there is a restaurant called “El Oasis”, where we will detour to a dirt road of approximately 23 km that will take us to the town of San José de la Popa, where the beginning of the tour is located.

Parking:

You can park at the beginning of the village and/or in the main square of the town, always respecting the garages and houses of the inhabitants.

Costs and Schedule:

None, only transport ones. The roads are toll-free.

Route Trace:

Some sections of the route are marked and some are not, however, the route itself is easy to follow as it is quite busy. There are a few variants, but you just have to keep up with the crest of the hill. The route is very intuitive (get around the thorns, the agaves and climb!).
