La Estanzuela Natural Park is one of the best places to cool off and enjoy nature just a few minutes from Monterrey.
The “La Estanzuela” Natural Park, is located south of the city of Monterrey, to get there you must drive along the national road and take the side of the HEB La Estanzuela, once you reach the traffic light you must turn right on a street where you can find La Plaza Valle Alto, a Benavides pharmacy and an Oxxo, you reach another traffic light and you must continue straight on for at least 1 kilometer until you find a giant stone sign with the name of the park, once here you only go straight on a large straight street that transforms into a fairly friendly dirt road, suitable for all types of vehicles with an average height.
The park has a fairly large and secure parking lot, and there are also bathrooms and benches for eating.
Admission to the park costs $40 per person on the trail (walker only) and $20 for older adults (INAPAM), children under 5 do not pay admission, tickets can be purchased through the Nuevo León Passport application and at the park box office. It is important to clarify that for those who want to get to the waterfall “El Cielo” (end of the tour) it costs $60 to walk the path that takes you to the waterfall. On the other hand, the schedule is Tuesday to Sunday from 7AM - 4:00 PM. Access to the waterfalls after 12PM is not allowed.
The route is completely visible, and the path is marked at all times.
